Some years ago I learnt vi, or maybe better vim, when I was studying at the university. It was hard at the beggining but once you master it is second to none for coding. So now, after some years as a TD in the CG world sometimes I have to code stuff I cleaned the dust from my old vi and recover it. Is really amazing the amount of possibilities of this editor and how you can construc your own developing environment around it. Because working as a TD in this tough industry usualy means no time to setup things correctly nad not enough time to work properly in the code I decided to compile all the stuff about vim so I don´t need to reconfigure my coding environment everytime I go to a new place and also, with the time, to have a really complete and easy to use vim setup. the final goal is to make a powerful, yet easy to use, vim sertup with many of the features you can get from more integrated IDE tools and the most important integrated with many of the languages and tools used in production. Hopefully will be also useful for others.
